Abstract or summary
Dhuna ndaj grave (DHNG), përfshirë dhunën në familje është një nga format më të rënda të shkeljeve me bazë gjinore të të drejtave të njeriut në Evropë, që vazhdon të mbulohet nga heshtja. Këshilli i Evropës ka miratuar një numër konventash dhe rekomandimesh, të cilat udhëheqin dhe ndikojnë në zhvillimet e barazisë gjinore në Evropë dhe në mbarë botën. Ky Udhëzues mbështetet në tre dokumente të Këshillit të Evropës: Konventa Evropiane për të Drejtat e Njeriut, Konventa për Parandalimin dhe Luftën kundër Dhunës ndaj Grave dhe Dhunës në Familje, dhe Strategjia për Barazinë Gjinore 2018-2023. Udhëzuesi u referohet gjithashtu dokumenteve të përgatitura nga Kombet e Bashkuara (KB), në veçanti, Konventës për Eliminimin e të Gjitha Formave të Diskriminimit ndaj Grave (CEDAW) dhe Komitetit të saj (Komiteti CEDAW) dhe Strategjive të Përditësuara Model dhe Masave Praktike për Eliminimin e Dhunës ndaj Grave në Fushën E Parandalimit të Krimit dhe Drejtësisë Penale.

| Translated abstract or summary: | Violence against women (VAW), including domestic violence, is one of the most serious forms of gender-based violations of human rights in Europe that is still veiled in silence.1Council of Europe adopted a number of conventions and recommendations, guiding and influencing gender equality developments in Europe and worldwide. This Guidelines is mainly built upon three Council of Europe documents: the European Convention on Human Rights, the Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence and Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023. The Guidelines also makes references to the documents developed by the United Nations (the UN), in particular, to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and its Committee (CEDAW Committee) and the updated Model Strategies and Practical Measures on the Elimination of Violence against Women in the Field of Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. | ||||
